About Us
William L. Fortin
Bill was born in Hammond, Indiana, December 20, 1938. After graduating from Whiting
High School, St. Joseph's College, and Loyola Law School, Bill was admitted to
the Indiana Bar in 1965. A short time later Bill became Deputy Attorney General for the
State of
Indiana.
Bill was recruited by Plymouth icon George Stevens to join our predecessor firm
of Stevens, Travis, & Wampler, after facing Mr. Stevens in court. Bill was
a long-time City Attorney for the City of Plymouth, taught business
law at Ancilla College for 23 years, serves on the Indiana Supreme Court
Character and Fitness Committee, and was on the State Board of Law Examiners.
Bill is an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell peer review rated lawyer. This
ranking by judges and fellow attorneys is the highest possible rating in both
legal ability and ethical standards bestowed by Martindale-Hubbell.
Bill lives in Plymouth with his wife of 46 years. His four children and
eight grandchildren all live in Plymouth as well.
David W. Fortin
David Fortin has a Bachelor in Computer Science from Purdue, a Master in Business
Administration from Indiana University at South Bend, and a Juris Doctor from
Valparaiso School of Law.
David has worked in public accounting, corporate IT in heavy industry, as lead
software developer, founder, and president at a well-respected security software
company, as owner and president of a restaurant holding company, as founder and
treasurer of a commercial digital jukebox manufacturer, and as founder and guide
of an outdoor adventure company. David is a frequent speaker at national
technology events on the topic of computer file system security.
David serves on the parish finance council at St. Michael Catholic Church, on the
board of directors of a not for profit foster care group home, and on the board
of directors of the Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation (PIDCO).
David is an active father, avid marathon runner and tri-athlete, musician, and a
recreational and professional computer programmer. He lives in Plymouth with his
childhood sweetheart, who is also his wife of 15 years, and their young
daughter.
